Family-Friendly Picks
Butchertown Art Fair

Butchertown Neighborhood Association
Saturday 11am-6pm
Sunday 11am-5pm
The Butchertown Art Fair is the kind of event that makes Louisville feel like Louisville. More than 80 carefully selected artists will line the 800 block of East Washington on Saturday and Sunday, set against one of the city's most historic and beautiful neighborhoods. Free to attend, easy to walk with kids in tow, and proceeds support neighborhood projects and local nonprofits.
Portland Festival

Portland Festival
Friday 5-11pm
Saturday 12-11pm
Fifty two years in and the Portland Festival is still going strong. Two days of carnival rides, food vendors, live music, a neighborhood parade, and a new community stage showcasing local talent, all in the historic Portland neighborhood. Friday kicks off at 5pm, Saturday at noon with the parade, and the whole thing is run by volunteers who put every dollar back into the community.
Pet-Friendly Pick
Waggin' Tail Festival at Waterfront Park

Kentucky Humana Society
Sunday 12-4pm
Louisville's favorite dog-friendly festival is back for its 32nd year this Sunday. The humans get craft beer, food trucks, live music, and face painting. The dogs get canine tattoos and portraits, which is somehow a completely normal sentence for the Waggin’ Tail Festival. Leashes and vaccinations required to attend.
Highlight Event
Louisville Wine Walk at Fourth Street Live!

Fourth Street Live!
Saturday 2pm
Louisville Wine Walk at Fourth Street Live! is a token-style tasting experience with curated wine pours, chef-inspired bites, local vendors, and live entertainment running throughout the afternoon. General admission includes 10 tokens, a souvenir glass, and a tote bag, with VIP tickets adding six more tokens and a hat.
Consider it proof that you're never too old for a bar crawl, especially when the wine pours don't come from a bag and the food didn't come from a drive-thru. Doors open at 2pm, must be 21 or older.
