A Taste for Life at 3rd Turn Oldham Gardens

We're giving away two FREE tickets to A Taste for Life, happening June 28 at 3rd Turn Oldham Gardens. The event brings together more than 40 local restaurants and chefs alongside alcohol samples from local and nationally recognized breweries, distilleries, and wineries, all located in one of the best beer gardens in the area.

Founded by Four Pegs chef Chris Williams in honor of Anthony Bourdain, A Taste for Life is now in its fifth year and exists to break the stigma surrounding mental health in the service industry. All proceeds benefit NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness) Louisville and The Pete Foundation.

Corner's happy hour runs Monday through Thursday with half-price signature cocktails and $2 off apps. The cocktail list has everything from a Four Roses Old Fashioned and Millionaire's Row Margarita to a Louisville After Dark with mezcal and cold brew espresso. On the appetizer side, the Triple Crown Crunch with guacamole, pimento cheese, and queso and the Corner Nachos with bourbon glaze both caught our eye.

Food Special

Go SoIN

Saturday 1pm

The New Albany Main Street Taco Walk is back this Saturday and for as much as we like food, we've somehow never been. We're not sure how that happened given our feelings about tacos. Ten tickets take you through downtown New Albany sampling everything from classic street tacos to dessert tacos, with a free scavenger to keep things entertaining along the way. General admission is $50, VIP is $65 and gets you in early with margaritas, snacks, and a limited edition hat.

Saturday 12-10pm

The Kentuckiana Pride Parade & Festival kicks off at noon on Saturday and leads into a full day of music and celebration at the Great Lawn through 10pm. The Stonewall Stage will have Snow Tha Product, Shea Couleé, Girli, and DARUMAS alongside some local favorites like The Sheryl Rouse Band, Sydney Sleadd & The Swarm, and VOICES of Kentuckiana, with drag performances running all day on the Equality Stage.

The parade is free and the energy is unmatched. Behind the performances, the parade, and the festival is a community with a long history of activism in Louisville, and this event brings it all together. Louisville shows up for its community, and this is a great day to be part of it.
