This Week's Lineup

Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone enjoyed the extra hour of sleep this morning. Unless you have young kids, then I’m sorry.

Halloween is officially behind us. Now we just need to make the leftover candy last until Thanksgiving.

Unfortunately, most of the Reese Cups in our house are already gone…

P.S. Want to get your business in front of thousands of engaged locals every week? Let’s chat!

New in Town

Voilà Cocktail Bar

Voilà Cocktail Bar

Mon-Thur | 3pm - 12am
Fri & Sat | 2pm - 2am

This week I learned about Em Sego, a veteran mixologist in town with experience at places like Hop Atomica, North of Bourbon, Noche, Hotel Genevieve, and other popular bars around Louisville. They just opened their own spot called Voilà Cocktail Bar a couple weeks ago downtown between 4th and 5th Street. The menu has 24 drinks across four categories: Shaken, Stirred, N/A, and Dessert, plus sustainable wines, a few local beer taps, and an espresso martini on draft. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 3 to 6pm.

Food Special

Filet and Lobster at River House

River House Restaurant and Raw Bar

Mon-Thur | 11am - 10pm

Known for one of the best raw bars in Louisville, River House is offering a weeknight special in November that runs Monday through Thursday. Starting tomorrow, $68.95 gets you a soup or salad, 6 oz filet mignon and lobster tail with butter whipped potatoes and asparagus, and bread pudding or chocolate lava cake for dessert. You can also get up to 12 Chesapeake oysters for $1.50 each. Hard to argue with filet and lobster on a weeknight with a riverfront view.

Happy Hour

Simply Thai

Simply Thai Middletown

Mon-Fri | 4:30pm - 6pm

One of our favorite Thai restaurants in town has a weekday happy hour from 4:30 to 6. Simply Thai offers half off cocktails and bottles of wine, $3 drafts, and $2 off appetizers and sushi. More importantly, if you’re looking for suggestions, the Pad See Ew hits every time.

Guess the Spot

Welcome to the first edition of “Guess the Spot”, our newest weekly game. We’ll share a zoomed-in photo of somewhere in town, and you see if you can figure out where it is. Next week we’ll give a shout out to a few people who got it right (and might share our favorite wrong answers).

To play: Reply with your guess, your first name and last initial.

Day Date

Spin at Germantown Gables

Fleur De Flea

Sunday | 10am - 5pm

If you didn't make it to Spin back in February, you have one more chance this year. Hosted by Fleur de Flea, this is Kentuckiana’s largest record show, and there will be over 100 local and regional sellers with vinyl, 45s, cassettes, 8-tracks, CDs, DVDs, memorabilia, stereos, and gear. Open to everyone from veteran collectors to people who had to look up what a 45 is before writing this...

$5 entry at the door and custom record bags will be available (if you get there early enough). There will also be coffee, food, and a popup bar. Have yourself a day.

Bring The Kids

Game Con Junction

Nerd Louisville

Friday | 5pm - 4am
Saturday | 8am - 4am
Sunday | 8am - 6pm

Looking for something to get the kids away from screens for the weekend? Game Con Junction will be at Louisville Marriott East Friday through Sunday with hundreds of board games, tabletop RPGs, and card game tournaments. Games will be available for all ages and skill levels. The event sales support hosting inclusive community-driven gaming events throughout the year.

Bring The Dogs

Silent Disco at PG&Js Dog Park Bar

PG&Js Dog Park Bar

Saturday | 7pm - 10pm

If you and your pup are into music and dancing, PG&J's is hosting a Silent Disco this weekend. Three live DJ channels, wireless headphones, and a full bar. Your dog probably won't have any idea what’s going on or why you're dancing, but they'll be having fun regardless. 21+ to attend.

If You Only Do One Thing

Cardinal Basketball Is Back

KFC Yum! Center

Louisville basketball is so back! Both the men’s and women’s teams are kicking off their seasons this week, with the women opening against local rival Bellarmine and the men playing Chattanooga right after them. This will be the women's 52nd season and the men's 113th 🤯 Grab your tickets and show out.
