North of Bourbon runs a great happy hour Tuesday through Saturday with half-price bottles of wine, $2 off all draft beer, and $5 off the NOB Old Fashioned. Also includes a food menu with oysters, boudin balls, peppered catfish nuggets, and Rotel dip with Nashville hot pork rinds. The NYT called it one of the Top 50 Restaurants in America and the happy hour prices are your best excuse to finally check it out.

Buzzard's Roost Bourbon Dinner at Varanese is a four-course evening built around good food, good bourbon, and one of the best kitchens in the city. The reception kicks off with a flight of three Buzzard's Roost pours before dinner moves into A-5 Wagyu carpaccio, charred street corn bisque, crispy pork scallopini, and a smoked peach cobbler to close it out. $75 per person, with a food-only option available.

HypotheSIPS puts a fun twist on your typical date night, opening the Science Center after hours on Thursday for an evening of drinks, food, and the chemistry behind your favorite spirits. Partners include Angels' Envy, Jefferson's Bourbon, Kentucky Peerless, Michter's, Huber's Winery, and Distillery 64, with experts on hand to walk you through what makes each one worth drinking. Tickets start at $30 and include samples, cash bar access, a food truck, and even laser tag.

Kids Cruise on the Belle of Louisville

Tues, Thurs, and Sat 1pm

The Belle of Louisville's Kids Cruise packs 90 minutes of scavenger hunts, coloring sheets, surprise activities, and a dance party onto one of the most iconic boats on the Ohio River. It'll keep the kids busy from start to finish while giving the adults a great view. Grab tickets for Tuesday, Thursay, or Saturday before they sell out.

Puppy Palooza at Westport Village

Saturday 11am-2pm

Puppy Palooza takes over Westport Village on Saturday with 40 dog-friendly vendors, a K9 splash zone, complimentary pet portraits, a photo booth, and live music. It also includes a charity bar with 100% of profits going to Kentucky Humane Society. Dog awards, face painting, pet caricature art, and balloon twisting will be available to entertain the humans who came along.

Paws in Nature at Bernheim Forest

Saturday 10am-3pm

Bernheim Forest welcomes more than 12,000 dogs through its gates every year, and Paws in Nature on Saturday is their official celebration. The free open house runs 10 to 3 with a splash zone, a dog parade, a stick library, a scavenger hunt, obedience training demos, and a photo booth, plus local pet-focused artists in the gift shop. Free to attend, $15 suggested admission for non-members.

Bourbon Festival at The Big Four

Saturday 4-8pm

Bourbon Festival at the Big Four hits downtown Jeffersonville this Saturday with bourbon cocktail samples from 10 local restaurants, craft vendors, food trucks, and a vote for the best drink of the night from 4 to 8. When the vendors wrap up, live music takes over the Union stage to close out the evening.

Presented by Old Forester and Union Pub and Social, it's a proper celebration of the thing Louisville does better than anywhere else. Our giveaway’s over but it’s not too late to grab tickets. They’re at $35 and climbing as the event gets closer.
