We're partnering with Racing Louisville FC to give away four FREE tickets to Oktoberfest Night this Friday at Lynn Family Stadium. Racing is taking on San Diego Wave, with gates opening at 5 for happy hour and the game at 6:30. Entries close at midnight tomorrow!

Like any good Oktoberfest event, the beer garden will have multiple festbier-style brews from Ten20 and Noble Funk, authentic German food including schnitzel sandwiches and spaetzle, live music, and a stein-hoisting competition with the winner getting upgraded to club access for the game. For all you Crust & Crumb fans, owner Debi Hatton just added Brisé, a French restaurant to the same New Orleans-style spot in Norton Commons operating during dinner hours. She built Crust & Crumb from a small farmers market sourdough operation into one of the neighborhood's most loved spots, and now she's on to the next one. If you live in Norton Commons, fire up the golf cart.

Saturday | 5pm - 10pm

It's entirely rational to plan your whole Saturday around dumplings and egg rolls, right? The Asian Night Market will be at 4th Street on Saturday with food trucks and vendors representing Filipino, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, Indian, and Asian fusion cuisines. Come out to support local Asian-owned businesses and enjoy a free event downtown with the family.

Happy hour at The Manhattan Project includes some crazy good apps. Everything from fried banana pepper rings, popcorn chicken with nine sauce options, and jalapeno artichoke dip with bacon and cheddar to Mexican street fries tossed in elote sauce and tajin. On top of that, Wednesday includes half-price bottles of wine all day and Thursday has $1.25 wings, $18 beer buckets, and $5.25 tall domestic drafts.

One last chance! Waterfront Wednesday is wrapping up the series this week with Houseplant, DOOM GONG, and the LPM Young Artist Showcase winner on the Big Four Lawn. As always, the lawn opens at 5, main stage at 6:30, and it's free to attend. Proceeds benefit Louisville Public Media and Waterfront Park. Looks like it’s supposed to cool down this week, fingers crossed for perfect weather to close out the season.

One cast member gets drunk, the rest perform Macbeth with complete seriousness. No two shows are ever the same because the drunken actor is selected at random every night. Sh!t-faced Shakespeare has been winning awards and pissing off Shakespearean purists since it started in 2010 in West London. Now it's coming to Old Forester's Paristown Hall on Saturday, tickets start around $39.

Today I learned you can take your kids to the circus for free. Garden Bros Circus Fun Factory will be at Lynn Family Stadium Thursday through Sunday this week with 60+ performers, all the classic carnival food you'd ever want, clowns, and comedy. Every adult GA ticket includes one free child admission ages 3-13, and kids 2 and under are always free. Adult GA starts at $23.27 online.

I can't think of anything better than a park full of Goldens. Across the bridge in Corydon, the Golden Retriever Rescue & Adoption of Needy Dogs (GRRAND) organization is hosting Golden Retriever Day at Bicentennial Park on Saturday. They're having a meet & greet, dog-friendly vendors, and a Golden Grinch Feet contest for the most untrimmed paws in attendance. Half of the proceeds benefit GRRAND and their mission.

Last week it was the world's largest rock and metal festival. This week it's the world's largest bourbon, food, and music festival. Louisville doesn't miss this time of year. Bourbon and Beyond has a stacked lineup this year, with Foo Fighters, Kacey Musgraves, Mumford & Sons, Chris Stapleton, Hootie, and Dave Matthews Band headlining across four days.
