Family-Friendly Pick
Big Four Arts Festival at the Big Four Bridge

Big Four Arts Festival
Saturday 10am - 7pm
Sunday 10am - 5pm
The local-favorite Big Four Arts Festival is back at the Big Four Bridge Lawn this weekend with a curated lineup of artists and vendors across four acres along the river. It's drawn over 20,000 attendees in past years, earned Louisville's Rose Award from the Tourism Bureau, and made the Sunshine Artist Magazine's Top 200 every year it's run. A great option to bring the whole family out and support some local artists.

Pet-Friendly Pick
Racing Louisville FC vs. Gotham FC

Racing Louisville FC
Friday 6:30pm
Racing Louisville is bringing Pups at the Pitch back to Lynn Family Stadium on Friday for their match against Gotham FC. Gates open at 5pm for happy hour with $3 hot dogs and drink deals, and kickoff is at 6:30. A portion of dog ticket proceeds goes directly to the Kentucky Humane Society. Just a friendly heads up, dogs must be leashed, vaccinated, and comfortable with crowds and loud noises.
Hops & Hounds at Slugger Field

Louisville Bats
Thursday 6:35pm
The Louisville Bats are hosting their largest ever Hops & Hounds event on Thursday at the stadium. A $29 advanced ticket gets you a ticket to the game, three craft beers from local breweries, and a limited-edition souvenir mug. Dog tickets are being sold separately for $3 with proceeds also benefiting the Kentucky Humane Society. Dogs must be leashed and vaccinated. Grab your tickets here!

New in Town
bb.q Chicken

bb.q Chicken
Daily 11am - 10pm
bb.q Chicken is a Korean chain that takes the frying process seriously, hand-battering each piece and frying low and slow for that distinct crispy texture. The Louisville location opened on Hurstbourne July 31st. Their sauce menu has everything from Honey Garlic and Galbi to the Cheesling dusted in sweet cheese, the Gang-Jeong with cinnamon and chili, and the Gangnam Style black pepper sauce with garlic and onions.

If You Only Do One Thing
Middletown Family Fun Fest

Middletown Family Fun Fest
Friday 5 - 9pm
Saturday 10am - 10pm
The 54th Annual Middletown Family Fun Fest is back this Friday and Saturday at Wetherby Park, easily one of our favorite parks in Louisville. Two days of live music, community events, and nonstop activities for the whole fam. JD Shelburne is headlining Friday night following a community choir performance and an aviation flyover. Saturday also has a full lineup ending with a 150-drone SkyZone show at 9:30pm.
If that isn't enough to convince you, there will also be a Mark's pie eating contest, a closest to the pin competition, goat yoga, a dog show, a free microchip clinic, a community parade, 100-plus artisan vendors, and a kids zone. I'm not sure how they're even packing so much into one weekend. Free to attend!
